The Royal Canadian Mint Golden Eagle - The 5th in the "Call of the Wild" Series
Introducing Canadian Golden Eagle coins, the fifth coin in the Royal Canadian Mint’s "Call of the Wild" series of gold coins. The Golden Eagle offers astonishing purity at “five nines” (.99999) and the mintage is expected to be small once again. ABOUT THE DESIGN
Obverse/Front: A portrait of Queen Elizabeth II is featured on the obverse of this beautiful Canadian gold 1 oz coin.
Reverse/Back: A Golden Eagle depicted with its beak open and shrieking its distinctive cry. The Eagle is the apex predator of the skies over Canada. Fish and small game recognize it as the sound of impending doom, the signal of a raptor nearby.
The golden Eagle is named for the color of its feathers. It is fitting the plumage has been captured in such fine detail on this gleaming, gold mint coin.
Packaging: "Call of the Wild" coins are packaged in an assay card, with the coin on display in a clear plastic bubble. The card carries the Royal Canadian Mints mark and guarantees weight and purity. Each 1 oz Canadian Golden Eagle coin is also laser engraved with the Mint’s security feature, a micro-etched Maple Leaf surrounding “18” - the year of issue.

Donald B.March 4th, 2019Absolutely Beautiful Coin indeedThe last of the Call of The Wild series was worth the wait. The Canadian Eagle looks like a proof accompanied by the credit card sized holder which displays the explicit detail of the eagle in superb fashion. The Queen looks better on this coin than she EVER could have wanted to look in her whole life. I highly recommend that you buy one of these little gems just for the purity alone, the exquisite beauty of this design is an added bonus that is well worth the small premium put on the coin purchase.
