Each MintID 1oz Gold Bar is equipped with a proprietary MintID AES 128-bit encrypted NFC microchip. The bar owner can instantly authenticate their bar in real-time using the MintID iOS/Android mobile app. Unlike engraved serial numbers and QR codes that can be easily duplicated, each MintID 1oz gold bar possesses an encrypted and digitally unique serial number which is readable by NFC-capable phones at very close range.
Going a step further MintID 1oz gold bars are encapsulated in an Certiline Bar Card® security case that uses Cryptoprint® technology. If tampering is detected, an annulled safety seal will appear on the outside of the packaging.
