HALF Oz Pure Silver Rounds Featuring the Statue of Liberty

Money Metals Exchange is pleased to offer a half-ounce silver round featuring the ultimate symbol of our foremost national value -- the Statue of Liberty. These rounds are minted from .999 pure silver and represent a great way to invest in tangible silver.

While silver bullion rounds are not legal tender, you get more silver ounces for the price than most other options. And Money Metals has the best sale prices on silver rounds found just about anywhere.

ABOUT THE DESIGN

Statue of Liberty -- Obverse

The iconic Statue of Liberty has been standing on Liberty Island in the New York City harbor since its dedication on Oct. 28, 1886. It was a joint project between the French and American citizens who shared the costs of construction. The statue was built in pieces in France and then sent by ship to New York.

The french name for the statue translates to "Liberty Enlightening the World." It depicts the Roman goddess Libertas holdinga burning torch in her right hand, raised above her head. The left hand of Libertas holds a tabula ansata with the inscription "JULY IV MDCCLXXVI" -- July 4, 1776. Libertas is taking a step forward, a broken shackle and chain lie useless at her feet. The broken restraint commemorated the abolition of slavery. Money Metals commissioned Tom Rogers, formerly of the U.S. Mint, to create the sculpt used for the obverse. Rogers is a renowned artist in the coin world, and the round bears his TR initials in the lower left hand corner of the obverse.

Torch -- Reverse

Where there is the light of liberty, the darkness has fled. The torch held by Libertas symbolizes American liberty lighting the way for the people of the world. This light has been diminished in today's United States, but it is not too late. Americans must remember to cherish and defend personal liberty at all costs. The alternative is subjugation, impoverishment, and suffering. There are dark places in the world. America must continue to provide a shining example of what free people can do together, and never fall into that darkness.

Why Invest in Silver Rounds?

Statue of Liberty rounds are a great addition any investor's portfolio. They are stylish and carry meaningful symbolism. The rounds feature the shared value which made America great - liberty and self-reliance.

The Half-Ounce size is great for investors who are also preparing for a collapse in the fiat dollar. The fractional size makes it a great addition to any barter stash - suitable for exchange in smaller transactions.

Silver rounds provide a true hedge against inflation. In today’s uncertain economy, the strength of the dollar cannot be easily identified, nor can its future. As such, many investors look to alternative sources of wealth, and silver is an ideal form due to its worth and value as a precious metal. With a purity of .999, the coin’s re-sale value will remain as there is likely to be a constant demand for silver. Silver’s use in jewelry and, as has been reported, medicine, makes it a metal which will always be in high demand.

Rounds make a good alternative to both gold and silver bars and coins, as they are unique in size and design, attractively rounding off a collection. Although they cannot be used as legal tender, their value remains and is dictated by the spot price of silver. Just look at a what a bar of silver is worth, or how much you will get when you sell silver coins back to the dealer and then you will understand the value of silver rounds.
