Quarter Ounce Silver Rounds for Barter or Small Change

Money Metals Exchange is pleased to introduce the Walking Liberty design quarter-troy-ounce round, minted in the U.S. of .999 fine silver. The iconic Walking Liberty design is among our most popular. This convenient quarter-ounce size offers investors a smaller denomination alternative to the one-ounce round.

While silver rounds are not legal tender, you get more silver ounces for your money than most other options. And Money Metals Exchange has the best buy and sell prices on silver rounds found just about anywhere. Come check out our selection of fractional silver for sale.

ABOUT THE DESIGN

Walking Liberty (obverse) – Between 1916 and 1947 the United States minted what is widely regarded as one of the most beautiful coin designs ever. Originally, the Walking Liberty half-dollar silver coin design was created by Adolf A. Weinman, who was also the designer of the popular Mercury Dime. It was said that Elsie Stevens was Weinman's model for the silver dimes and the Walking Liberty rounds. The current "American Silver Eagles" have a similar design on the obverse. These silver rounds are smaller in size - containing a 1/4 ounce of pure silver as opposed to the Walking Liberty half-dollar, which contains 0.357 ounces of silver at 90% purity.

Eagle with Shield (reverse) – Each silver round is stamped with its guaranteed weight of one quarter ounce of .999 fine silver. These privately minted rounds are not legal tender and differ in numerous ways from any government-minted coin. And they are clearly marked to further ensure there is no confusion with any coin or numismatic item. Purchase these silver rounds online now!

1/4 Walking Liberty Silver Rounds

By Geoffery D. on February 12th, 2016

I purchased quite a few different products from MMX, and have been very pleased with all of them, including the 1/4 oz Walking Liberty rounds. The craftsmanship is outstanding, as is all Money Metals Exchange products I have purchased.
