One of Our Most Popular Designs Now Available In A Larger 2 Ounce Size!

The Walking Liberty design has been one of the greatest hits since Adolph Weinman created it for the US Mint half dollar nearly a century ago. The original coins may have disappeared from circulation, but the beautiful image of the walking lady Liberty is still being struck on bullion rounds. Money Metals is now proud to offer these pure silver rounds in a hefty 2 troy ounce size.

These 2 troy ozs fine silver rounds are a great way to save money, offering a lower premium per ounce. And they will diversify your silver holding -- adding both a larger denomination and interest to a stack that may only include traditional 1 oz bullion coins, rounds, and bars.

Silver bullion rounds are privately minted and are not the same as legal tender silver coins. They are not intended to be collectible. All that is good news for silver investors who enjoy the advantage of lower costs. Collectible coins are generally a bad idea for investors who simply want the time-tested protection and investment returns associated with gold and silver, versus those that are specifically out there for coin collecting. They are illiquid, and almost always bought and sold at ripoff prices. Most folks are no match for fast-talking, high-pressure rare coin dealers who ask too much when they are selling and pay too little when they are buying.

Unless you are an expert in rare coins, you will likely be taken for a ride. Virtually everyone is better off sticking with an investment in bullion items only, where pricing is transparent and it is easy to buy or sell in any quantity, at any moment.

The silver round price is comprised of the dealer's profit margin and the cost of procuring the round -- manufacturing costs, wholesale premiums for melt silver, shipping, etc, and the spot market price. When it comes to manufacturing, the machinery time and labor involved in producing a larger 2-ounce round is close to the same as that required for making the smaller oz of silver size. Lower minting costs per ounce means cheaper silver for our customers.

Silver is both an investment and an insurance policy that protects against inflation and tumultuous times. One of the keys to maximizing investment returns is minimizing transaction costs. That is why adding lower-cost, pure silver rounds in a larger 2-ounce size makes sense. Be sure to check the silver spot price chart before buying.

The fact that these rounds are striking -- a real conversation starter -- due to their heft is a nice bonus. And if you must one day turn to your stack of silver for use in barter or trade, having a range of sizes could turn out to be very handy indeed.

The obverse of each silver Walking Liberty Half Dollars features a replica of Adolph Weinman's iconic design of Lady Liberty striding. The reverse carries a perched eagle with its wings partially spread, getting ready for flight.

    Superior round!
The 2 ounce Trumps and 2 ounce Walking Liberties, I believe, are the best rounds going. Sharp detail and meaty. Not to take away from the 1 ounce Trumps and 1 ounce Walking Liberties, also superior just not as meaty.

2 Ounce Silver Round Walking Liberty
OMG! I love this 2-ounce silver round with the classic Walking Liberty design on the obverse. This is one of my favorite coins, and with the silver round version, I know I will get more money for the melt value than I would have with a classic Walking Liberty coin. When comparing this Money Metals Exchange round versus the U.S. Mint Walking Liberty, I prefer the silver round because it is larger, cleaner looking, and higher percent of a higher fineness silver. Thank you for sending it soooo quickly, Money Metals!
