Acadia National Park is referred to as the Crown Jewel of the North Atlantic coast. The beautiful rocky headlands of Acadia are the highest of any along the Atlantic coastline of the United States.
The park, which is among the most popular in the National Park System based upon the 3.5 million annual visitors each year, contains a variety of natural habitats and an interesting cultural heritage.
Visitors can hike 158 miles of trails and take in some of the most magnificant scenery in America.
The 5 ounce America the Beautiful coin which commemorates the park features the Bass Harbor Head lighthouse, sitting atop the rocky coastline.
Money Metals Exchange offers the 5 ounce America the Beautiful silver (ATB) coin which commemorates the Acadia National Park. It is 13th in the popular series which will ultimately include 56 different and beautiful designs.
The coin's reverse (or tails) side features the Bass Harbor Head lighthouse - one of the most popular attractions in the park. The coin was the last of 4 designs in the ATB series issued by the US Mint in 2012. The inscriptions on the reverse read "Acadia", "Maine", "E Pluribus Unum" and "2012".
The obverse carries the familiar coin portrait of George Washington - the portrait featured on current Washington quarters. The inscriptions on this side include; United States of America, Liberty, In God We Trust and Quarter Dollar.
The coins are packaged by the US Mint in tubes of 10 coins. A full Mint box contains 10 tubes for a total of 500 ounces. The weight and purity (.999 Fine Silver, 5.0 Ounce) of the coin inscribed on the coin's rim and is guaranteed by the US government.
A silver coin is always a great way to invest in physical silver. Why not get some beauty, history and something to start conversations with to go along with your ounces? Each new release in the America the Beautiful series tends to go quickly. Many of the coins now command significant premiums in the secondary market. Don't delay - get yours while they are available.

I just received my order of the ATB Acadia National Park (Maine) 5 OZ Bullion Coin in the mail over the Christmas holiday. Not only did the coins arrive without delay they were stunning; flawless and mirror-like. They must have come straight from the mint. Not only that but the box they arrived in are better than other retailers I have dealt with and a great way to store silver and gold for that matter. My only complaint is that they were in flips and not capsules. It is understandable that they were in flips as the are bullion coins and not the burnished version. I very highly recommend Money Metals.
Money Metals Exchange was named Best in the USA because of our high-quality educational content, great pricing, and white-glove customer service.
