Introducing the Sound Money Fellowship
Building on the success of their annual Sound Money Scholarship, Money Metals Exchange and Sound Money Defense League have created the Sound Money Fellowship.
The Sound Money Fellowship is the nation’s first program specifically designed to support graduate, post-graduate, and independent researchers dedicated to advancing the scholarship and understanding of sound money.
Through this fellowship, participants will produce original research and writing that contributes to the study of sound money and its historic, economic, and social implications, fostering renewed discussion in this ever-important field.
2025 Eligibility Criteria
The Sound Money Fellowship is open to:
- Graduate students currently enrolled in an accredited program.
- Post-graduate students pursuing advanced degrees.
- Independent researchers with a demonstrated interest in sound money.
Fellowship Details
Duration: Six months (January 15 – July 15)
Stipend: $3,000
Fellows are expected to produce:
- Three shorter articles (750-1,000 words each) on relevant topics.
- One academic research paper
Research Focus Areas
Fellows are encouraged to explore various topics related to sound money, including but not limited to:
Monetary history and its implications for modern policy.
Policy analysis of state or federal sound money legislation.
Comparative studies of different monetary systems and their effects.
Research Proposal Guidelines
When preparing your research proposal, please include the following:
- Title for your proposed research.
- A brief summary (150-250 words) outlining the main objectives and significance of your research.
- Clearly state the research questions or hypotheses you intend to study.
- Describe the research methods you will use to conduct your study, including any sources or frameworks.
- Explain how your research contributes to the understanding of sound money and its implications for monetary policy.
