The British Royal Mint has been operating nearly continuously for 1,100 years - producing beautiful silver coins for England and, later, Great Britain. Silver Britannia coins are among the more recent issues. The Royal Mint began production in 1997, following the success of the gold Britannia coins launched 10 years earlier. This classic design is recognized and respected across the world as a symbol of beauty, reliability and strength. Little wonder then that the silver Britannia coins, with such a depth of history behind it, has been a popular choice with silver bullion coin investors ever since its introduction.

These British silver coins are well crafted and offer the trust and assurance that comes with coinage by one of the world's oldest and best recognized mints. Every silver coin is backed by the government of the United Kingdom for weight and purity. These coins can be held in your IRA. They are priced competitively with other silver bullion coins including the American Eagle Silver coins, Canadian Maple Leaf Silver coins, or other Canadian silver bullion coins. --also check out 1 Oz gold American Eagles

Since 2013, each silver Britannia bullion is minted from .999 fine silver. Earlier silver coins were .958 fineness. The coins obverse carries a likeness of Queen Elizabeth the Second. The reverse features the standing Britannia - the female personification of the British Isles used since Roman times more than 2000 years ago. The coins are denominated as £2 (2 British pounds).

I am really happy with the purchase. Coins came fast and all shipped in plastic and arrived perfect. A nice coin backed up by an official trusted Government Mint. Thanks MMX!

A Nice Coin to Stack

By Harry D. on May 7th, 2017

The mint across the pond makes some very nice looking coins. MMX has good price on this one ounce gem. With that combination, what is not to like? MMX again comes through with great delivery time.

Nice Coins. Fast, Fast delivery.

If you want your silver quickly, but want a coin made by a legitimate mint, then purchase the British Equivalent to the American Eagle. There is a smaller premium, a quicker delivery and still a good market to sell.
